After doing a quick internet search for a live music venue in Hoi An, Vietnam I came across this great venue close to the centre of Hoi An.  I also noticed a few recommendations on the internet referring to 'Guitar Hawaii Live Music Bar Hoi An'.  Being a bit of a hobby muso myself, I had to check out the local talent...
Bloody amazing! The vocalists were great and the musicians - mind blowing! There was a combination of local and overseas styles with a wide variety of music - something for everyone!
On the first night we visited, my missus asked them without me knowing if I could play guitar with the band… When I came back from the toilet, next thing I knew I was asked up on stage being passed a Fender Strat to play with.  Me, not knowing Vietnamese music, and thinking they may not know mine, so thought this would be a challenge, but we quickly adapted and next thing we were playing some good old classic rock!  Definitely very cool and unexpected, I was wrong… these guys and girls know their stuff and can adapt to most!
Anyway, it’s not all about the great music as their service and hospitality fits perfectly to all that I have read about Hoi An and it’s friendly people. 
I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in or even passing by Hoi An… Even if you’re not a musician, it’s well worth the visit!
